I stopped in at a library this week and look what I found on their shelf! I spy, "Destination White House"!
I’ll admit, it's amazing and a bit surreal for me to see my own book on a library shelf. Growing up I made frequent visits to the town’s library and was well known by all the librarians.
The inspiration for my book came from reading Oklahoma author, Bill Wallace’s books which I had discovered on these very same shelves. I remember thinking, “If he can do it, I can do it!” When I began writing my own book, I was only eleven years old.
I remember asking my favorite librarian, Gerry if one day they would put my book on the library shelf. I was so disappointed to hear that it had to be published before it could be placed in their system.
Long story short, a lot of hard work and nine years later; I am very humbled to see my book finally made its way to the library shelf! It's been amazing to see that dreams do come true. My God is so amazing!
